Purple patterned ceramic lamp in hand painted marigold floral
About the Item
Studio-made, hand-built, curvaceous ceramic lamp form painted in two shades of purple and incised in a whimsical marigold pattern.
Background in lilac and flowers in a deeper amethyst with spring-green stem. The form is triple-legged at the bottom, coming together in a curvilinear / biomorphic shape. Topped in live un-lacquered brass, with fluted brass stem, and live brass, twist function 250 W / 250V single bulb socket.
Main image shown in Fermoie's 16" pleated "back to the fuchsia" shade, and a vintage pleated green silk shade.

Abby Kasonik
Abby Kasonik is a multidisciplinary artist based in Charlottesville VA. She received her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, Department of Sculpture. Kasonik’s work is in numerous collections including the University of Virginia’s Fralen Museum, the UVA Foundation’s Boar’s Head Resort and the Darden School’s Forum Hotel. Her work has been featured in publications including Huffington Post, Luxe, 1stDibs Introspective, Business of Home, and Southern Living Magazine. Kasonik has work on view at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art through January 2025.
