Beautiful and rare pair of the first Estiluz table lamp by Leonardo Marelli manufactured in Spain in 1970s. This pair is in perfect condition because they come from a new stock dating from 1970.
The Estiluz company was founded in 1969 by Gerard Masdeu Jordà, a young entrepreneur with great vision and taste for design. He drew on his father’s mechanical experience and the help of his brother to found the firm.
Today Estiluz has regional sales offices in Paris, New York and Frankfurt. All lighting is produced in the factory in Spain, some 116 km / 72 mi from Barcelona.
In 2012 they received the ADI-FAD Silver Delta Prize for the original design of its Balloon flush mount and wall lamp. This is one of Spain’s most prestigious design awards. It was designed by Francesc Crous and Alessandro Calogero from the CrousCalogero Design Studio. The ADI-FAD is the Association of Industrial Design (Associació de Disseny Industrial).
