Regina Delft Red Table Lamp (1935-1979) with New Old Rose Velvet Shade

About the Item

Exquisitely handcrafted by Amitābha Studio in Amsterdam, the Billie table lamp transforms a rare vintage Regina red Delft (Delfts Rood) vase into a striking one-of-a-kind piece. Named in honor of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, this lamp pairs the amphora-shaped, hand-painted vase with a new luxurious Old Rose velvet lampshade, featuring a gold inner lining. Completed with a gold cord, Billie effortlessly marries antique artistry with contemporary design. The lamp was created without harming the original vase in any way. The vase (circa 1935-1979), which forms the base of Billie, was meticulously handmade and hand-painted by a master painter from Regina, renowned for its exceptional ceramics. The floral motif, in lush tones of red and pink with gold highlights, showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of the early 20th century Gouda pottery. Founded in 1898 in honor of Queen Wilhelmina's coronation, Regina (Kunstaardewerkfabriek Regina) has a storied legacy in producing high-quality ceramics, with each piece marked by a crown and the initials "WB." This remarkable lamp is not only a functional lighting piece but also a collector's item, representing the rich heritage of Regina's masterful pottery. Please note, the lamp is fully wired for use in the U.S. Additionally, the listed height includes the lampshade. We also ensure compatibility for global use by offering a free plug customization service to match the electrical standards of your specific country. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
