About the Item

Meticulously handcrafted by Amitābha Studio in Amsterdam, this one-of-a-kind table lamp is made from an original hand-painted 1968 Delft Delvert vase produced by Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles), the Netherlands’ most prestigious ceramic manufacturer. The Delvert line—named by designer Herman Sanders as a blend of Delft and the French vert (green)—is prized for its rare blue-green palette, translucent milky glaze, and intricate hand-painted decoration. Produced between 1968 and 1976, the Delvert line was limited in quantity, making each piece a sought-after collector’s item. This particular vase bears the authentic Royal Delft year code for 1968 and the initials of master painter C.M. Wolve, a senior artisan at the factory between 1965 and 1976. These markings affirm the vase’s origin and underscore its collector value. The hand-painted floral motif—delicate, rhythmic, and unmistakably Dutch—reflects a restrained elegance that feels both timeless and fresh. We’ve paired the ceramic base with a luxurious drum lampshade in Liberty of London’s Hera Plume jacquard, in the “Slipper Pink” colorway. The woven peacock feather design, a signature of Liberty’s archive, creates a rich visual contrast—making this lamp especially suited to interiors with Hollywood Regency, eclectic, or maximalist flair. The harmonious blend of soft pink, pale gold, and shimmering texture against the blue-green glaze evokes a palette that is romantic, refined, and subtly opulent. The lamp was created without harming the original vase in any way. ⸻ Please note: The lamp is fully wired for use in the U.S. Additionally, the listed height includes the lampshade. We also ensure compatibility for global use by offering a free plug customization service to match the electrical standards of your specific country. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us! ⸻ About Amitābha Studio: Amitābha Studio is a design atelier dedicated to transforming historic European ceramics into one-of-a-kind lighting objects. Each lamp is crafted with deep reverence for the original form, using non-invasive methods that preserve the integrity of every antique or vintage vase. We pair these bases with bespoke lampshades—often made from luxurious textiles such as vintage sari silks or fine European fabrics—and finish each piece with carefully selected cords, fittings, and handmade brass elements. Our work is guided by a commitment to sustainability, cultural heritage, and timeless design.
