About the Item
This table lamp was designed and handmade by British ceramicist Bernard Rooke in the 1960s. A signed piece, it carries the unmistakable character of Rooke’s sculptural Brutalist language — architectural, raw, and deeply expressive.
The base is constructed from stacked stoneware forms, each individually hand-built with a textured, earthy surface. Tonal variations in beige, sand, and clay brown enhance the tactile quality of the ceramic, while subtle glazing adds depth and shadow.
This modern lamp will fit into many interior styles. A Modern, Scandinavian, Classic or an Art Deco home decor.
