About the Item
Rare Tommaso Barbi brass table lamp made in the 1970s. This stunning lamp is finished in brass with a lacquer detail. It’s stamped ‘Tommaso Barbi, made in Italy’ at the bottom of the base. The brass body is in overall good condition, there’s some dents, scratches and patina present. The brass top shade comes off and can he easily adjusted. It is wired for North America.
Tommaso Barbi was an Italian designer, who studied art and design in Florence, Milan, and Rome. His work was often defined by his use of a variety of high quality materials. He was well known for his lighting fixture and furniture designs. Barbi’s attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship is evident in his work.
