Description: A pair ceramic figural table lamps.
Depicting 2 seating Chinese Ming Style Buddha figures.
Made of terracotta finished with white glaze and heighten with gold
the ceramist Ugo Zaccagnini, 1868 born in Pistoia.
He studied at the Scuola di Disegno Industriale in Siesto Fiorentino.
Until 1891 he worked as a sculptor and modeler in the Richard-Ginori ceramics factory in Sesto Fiorentino.
In 1896 he founded a shop with Luigi Ceccherini, Egisto Fantechi, Augusto Fantini, Giuseppe Conti and others.
The company was called S.I.F.M.A. and was located in Florence.
Finally in 1906 Ugo opened his own factory Ugo Zaccagnini e Figli in Florence in 1905, where he produced ceramics.
