What you see here is a beautiful example of a 19th century sleigh used as a winter replacement for a pram. Made of iron and steel with mahogany seat and footrest, this little treasure probably racked up miles of wintry travel ferrying wee ones to and fro. Today perhaps it would make a superb plant stand in a warmer environment--a unique juxtaposition of services.
