This Absolutely Magnificent Rare 7-piece bedroom set is a fantastic piece of Artwork. The Bedroom features a Fabulous Heavily Carved Bed, this can be used as a Pair of Single beds or as a Super King-Size Bed with an impressive Baroque style Headboard and Footboard, crafted from beautiful rich solid walnut wood. The bed has fabulous twisted posts at all corners with carved 3d putti cherubs, the Headboards and Footboards are carved with an array of Mythical creatures such as Mermaids, Cherubs, Angels, Ogres and the Craftsman's initials to central Spere. The set comes with twenty five drawers for ample storage, additional shelving and clothes hanging rail compartments making it both practical and Unique. The bedroom set has been carved by one of the most fantastic craftsmen of the time, possibly Luigi Frullini. His works were inspired by the carved pieces of the Italian Renaissance. This Rare and Exquisite bedroom set also includes other stunning pieces, such as a matching Dresser with a large mirror and marble top, a pair of Nightstands, Vanity Table with Mirror and a triple door Armoire all with ornate heavily carved details, like you have never seen before! This original Italian Antique Baroque Bedroom set from the late 19th century has been well maintained and is sure to add a the WOW factor to any bedroom. With three dimensional carvings with mythical creatures, animals, flowers, foliage and people. The Beautiful Bed can be used as either a pair of singles at 90 x 200 mattress size, alternatively a large slat base on legs can be placed across the internal of the bed frame and the bed can be a Grand King Size Bed measuring 200 cm x 200 cm mattress size. The external dimensions of the beds stood together are 204cm x 202cm. The Headboard is 170cm High and Footboard 159cm. The wardrobe dismantles in full and stands at 285 cm High (Including the Cherub Crest) x 238 cm x 70 cm depth. There are three compartments, one houses shelves, the central compartment has a clothes hanging rail, and the third compartment has five drawers. There is some slight foxing of the full length Central Mirror door due to age. There are also three storage drawers at low level. The wardrobe has two cherubs at either side of the crest with carvings to the doors of cherubs and Angels. There are four barley twisted columns with carved ivory to edge each of the Armoire compartments. The Dresser has a large drawer, and a storage cupboard underneath with a further four drawers. There is a Putti Cherub Carving on the mirror crest, with sitting cherubs to either side of the mirror. The original mercury mirror has a small chip. The marble top is original and of Rose marble, carved to the shape of the dresser. The dimensions are 270 high x 140 x 62 cm depth. The bedside cabinets have a drawer and a two cupboard areas, both have Marble tops (one has a repair). The cabinets are heavily carved with Putti Cherub Crests. The dimensions are 145 cm height x 57 x 39 cm depth. The Vanity Table, has a Beautiful Suspended Mirror with a Putti Cherub crest and seated Cherubs to either side on barley twist posts. There are three original Rose Marble tops and eleven drawers for storage. The cabinets are heavily carved with Mythical creatures and Angels. The dimensions are 218 cm High x 170cm width x 38cm depth. The bedroom set is rare and unique piece in solid carved walnut wood, that will not be seen again. Condition Report The Bedroom is over one hundred years old and is in good order for its age, there are some marks and small losses. Both Mirrors on the dresser and Vanity table are original and have chips. The Rose marble to the Dresser has been repaired, as have one of the marble top of the Beside Cabinets. Some the Cherubs have minor missing parts (fingers/toes) One of the headboard has an original join of the solid wood panel. Any evidence of furniture beetle has been treated and restored. PRESENTING AN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING 19C French Empire Style Style Complete Bedroom Suite/Set. HIGHLY, IMPORTANT AND UNIQUE Empire Style Bedroom Suite or Set from circa 1880. The Suite/Set is almost completely original, save the bed, which was originally twin size, but professionally commissioned to be customized and converted into a Euro King Size for modern practicality. The quality of the conversion matches the quality of the suite/set. All pieces have gilt bronze mounted fittings; beautiful patina, beautiful parquetry; beautiful carrara marble tops, simply stunning! About 10 years ago, I saw the ‘identical twin’ of the Commode in an Antique Store on Central Park in New York, however it had a less desirable green marble top (IMHO), and they were looking for 30k USD for the Commode, on its OWN! This Suite/Set is SO GOOD that it is the main exhibit in our rear Showroom. Not marked but under the marble top of the commode there are 2 signatures in pencil (1) M. Le Youters (?) and (2) M. Daneels. You will NOT find another complete suite/set like this ANYWHERE! AS A BONUS: We have curated and sourced (recently) a Pair of Monumental French Empire Wall Sconces which are a ‘PERFECT’ match for this bedroom set!
