Agner Christoffersen was a Danish architect who played a central role in the development of Danish modernist architecture in the mid-20th century. Trained as both a carpenter and an architect, he worked for many years at the Copenhagen City Architect’s Office, where he served as chief architect from 1966 to 1975.
Christoffersen’s work was characterized by functionalism and simplicity, with a focus on harmonizing form and function. He helped shape the design of public buildings and housing complexes in post-war Denmark, emphasizing socially responsible and practical solutions in urban planning and institutional architecture.
