About the Item
Antique bed brazier with handle. The object consists of a copper container with a decorated lid and small holes for ventilation. The long handle, made of turned wood, allows safe handling without the risk of burns.
To work, embers were placed inside the container, which was then slid between the sheets to heat the bed. This type of accessory was very common until the beginning of the 20th century, before electric heaters became popular.
The piece shows signs of use and ageing, with marks on the wood and a natural patina on the copper, which reinforces its authenticity. Today, it is valued as a decorative or collectible item, harking back to a time when simple solutions were essential for daily comfort.
