Benatti 'Boomerang' Queen Bed in Cognac Leather and Brown Lacquered Wood

About the Item

Benatti, 'Boomerang' queen bed, lacquered wood, leather, Italy, 1972 Rare and monumental Italian double bed made in the 1970s. This Boomerang bed is made by Italian manufacturer Benatti and shows all characteristics of design in the post-modern era of furniture design. Sculptural, soft, and beautiful: this bed is so easy to love and relate to. The sides of the bed are made in strongly curved lacquered wood lacquered in a dark brown color. The immense head and foot board are made in cognac leather, and show a beautiful and thick round cushion, that has stitching, creating a bolster-shaped bedstead. The slatted base for the matras is placed a little lower between the curved sides and voluminous leather head and footboard, creating an optically pleasing floating appearance and also a very cosy space to sleep. Comfort and beauty come together in this spectacular design. Dimensions mattress: 172 x 190 cm. 67.72 x 74.80 in. Kindly note that the leather exhibits wear marks. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
