About the Item
An antique cast iron four poster bed from the late Nineteenth Century, circa 1880. This magnificent piece of furniture was originally manufactured in the UK for export to North Africa. Seventh Heaven have recently acquired the bed from Tangier, Morocco and brought it back to our restoration workshops in Wales.
The ornate bed frame has been originally painted in red and gold. You have the option of retaining this aged finish, or you can choose for us to repaint the bed in a colour or paint effect of your choice. Please ask for further details.
The four tapered posts have decorative central brass features and are topped by brass finials. All the brass can be repolished if required.
The canopy, which is supported by the four tapered posts, is of a serprentine design and is crowned with a simple ring.
This bed accepts a British Super King Size or Californian King Size (6ft or 180cm wide) base and mattress set.
The price includes a firm bed base to support the mattress.
The mattress, bedding and covers are extra and can be supplied if required.
