About the Item
This studio artisan headboard is designed for a King Bed. Artist unknown, 76" wide, 9.5" deep and 14" high. All walnut construction. It features curvaceous flowing elements with "pods" above each end that enclose hidden reading bedside lamps that are activated by a pull chain. The center element has a biomorphic abstract mirror that is very much in the style of Wendell Castle's hall mirrors. Produced in the late 1970s, this piece has been rewired with LED bulbs for readers. Provides bookcase storage and display shelves. Is mounted to the wall through a hanging bar on the rear. This is a unique Mid-Century Modern piece.
