About the Item

A masterpiece of Italian design from the 1970s, this "Gardenia" double bed was designed in 1977 by Luciano De Gennaro for Brivio Industria Mobili of Novedrate (Como), one of the most quality-conscious and formally researched brands in the postwar Italian furniture scene. An authentic example of excellent Made in Italy craftsmanship, where aesthetics and solidity come together in perfect balance. 170x195 cm compatible network. The uniqueness of this bed lies in the selection of materials: Brivio chose whole solid wood logs, which underwent a process of seasoning and careful selection, using only the first choice to ensure strength, stability and durability. The result is a sturdy bed with sculpted, natural lines designed to stand the test of time while maintaining its appeal. The design is distinguished by its tubular shape with rounded corners, a design choice that lends fluidity and visual softness to a solid, structured piece. The lines are essential yet sophisticated, ideal for environments that combine modernity, naturalness and organic style. It is a bed that fits as casually into contemporary settings as it does into interiors with a vintage feel. On the left side of the frame is the fire-stamped Brivio mark, certifying the authenticity of the piece and its direct provenance from the historic Novedrate manufacture. A discreet but important sign for those seeking original, signed furniture with a story to tell. Cited in Historical Publications The "Gardenia" bed is documented on page 283 of the Fiera di Milano magazine, with an official review by the Ente Autonomo Fiera (Year XXIX), demonstrating its prominence in the Italian design scene of the time. A recognition attesting to its design and cultural value.

Vintage Italian double bed with bedside tables attributed to Ico Pairisi
By Ico Parisi
Located in Milano, IT
In the enchanting embrace of the 1950s, from the hands of a master, Ico Pairisi, emerged a work of art that effortlessly fuses functionality with the poetic essence of design. Behold the vintage Italian double bed accompanied by its faithful companions, the bedside tables, a symphony attributed to Parisi's visionary genius. Carved from the very essence of nature, this bed is a testament to the enduring beauty of wood. It is not just a bed, but a narrative woven into its very fibres. The two side bedside tables, like faithful attendants, flank the bed and their souls intertwine with the very being of the bed. The bedside tables are embedded and connected to the keyboard not only in form but also in purpose, a symbol of unity in design and life. However, it is the headboard that dominates the stage: a platform of possibilities. Above the solid bedside tables...
