About the Item

Scandinavian Modern bed by Erik Hoglund (Höglund) made of solid pine for Boda Trä. The bed is an expression of the best the 1970s had to offer and a solid piece made to last forever. The 1960s major form exhibition in Sweden was "Form Fantasy" at Liljevalchs in Stockholm, 1964, where the Swedish Craft Association presented Swedish handicraft. On the podiums, conventional crafts were presented side by side with more experimental objects in the spirit of free form. Among the exhibit's more prominent objects was the turned wooden bed by Erik Höglund. The bed also plays an important role in describing the works of Erik Höglund in the chapter about the artist in the book "Swedish Formrebeller 1960s and 1970s". Inner dimensions: 200 x 140 cm. Outer dimensions: 158 x 218 cm. This bed have patina since it has been used over decades and therefor scratches and marks. The headboards height is 140 cm.
