About the Item

If you're looking for something extra special which exudes both quality and style then look no further. This high end French Art Deco bed was made in the 1930s and screams everything about Art Deco that us admirers love. It's streamline, modern and originates from France and was sourced from just outside Paris from a private home. This piece is fresh to the market and has only ever had one owner. Although this bed has been lovingly looked after since first purchased we've also had it professionally and fully restored. The striking rare burl Amboyna wood veneers makes this an easily integrated piece to both the modern and period bedroom setting. As of September 2021, the most expensive wood veneer in the world was generally considered to be Amboyna Burl. Amboyna Burl is derived from the burl wood of the Pterocarpus indicus tree, which is native to Southeast Asia. It is highly prized for its intricate grain patterns, rich reddish-brown colouring, and unique swirls and figures. The high cost of Amboyna Burl is due to its rarity, as well as the difficulty in sourcing and working with the wood. It is often used for high-end luxury furniture, fine cabinetry, and decorative items. These types of beds really don't offer themselves onto the market very often, just take a quick search across the net to see for yourself. Features include, integral bedside cabinet night stands with side swivel opening drawers, two open shelves. Original pink glass handles. For UK customers, this bed also comes with custom made slatted base, all you need is the mattress and you're ready to go.
