About the Item
Witco bed frame, headboard and two nightstands. Each nightstand measures 24" wide, 18.25" deep and 48" high. The middle section measures 76" wide, 3" deep and 24" high. Total measurement when bed frame is assembled is 124" wide, 18.5" deep and 48" high.
Robert Post Junior and Artist William Westenhaver Created Witco in 1959. The two capitalized on the exotica trend by creating carved wood furniture and decor. The furniture was so beloved during the period that Elvis created an entire “Jungle Room” in his Graceland home featuring Witco furniture.

An impressive one-of-a-kind custom built sideboard featuring dramatic tusk shaped "legs" which pierce the top as they thrust upward. This shape is repeated in the hand hammered steel openwork on the center doors, as well as in the inlaid embellishments that appear at the top. These metal pieces are not just applied, they are inlaid into the wood surface. The pulls on the graduated sized drawers are also hand hammered. The sideboard is solid hardwood.
