About the Item
This is a one-off (single piece) showroom sample sale of our Prime American black walnut hand-crafted night stands or end tables. These are constructed from the finest American black walnut with the inner dovetailed jointed traditional drawer carcass in quarter-sawn English Oak. The main upper box is detailed with exposed hand-cut dovetail jointing and contains one drawer. A light curve design is cut into and around the legs and follows along the facia.
Designed and handmade in England by our highly experienced craftspeople.
Finished in very durable matte oil.
This is a contemporary modernist design with Scandinavian influences utilising traditional English furniture craftsmanship and fine timbers.
We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
