About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely Willis and Gambier Ivory collection solid beech wood bedside table. This is part of a suite, I have in total the drawers, bedside table and dressing table with mirror and chair, this auction is for the above-mentioned piece only, the other lots are listed under my other items and not included in this auction The Ivory bedroom collection is crafted from solid Birch and Birch veneers combined with a unique, hand-painted, lacquered finish. Taking its inspiration from the designs of 18th-century French furniture, the collection is stylish and sophisticated and the mellow tones and soft curves create a tranquil, relaxed atmosphere. The distressed paint finish on this range is achieved through the application of several layers of paint which are then gently aged in places. The hand finishing of each individual item and the appearance over time of hairline cracks in the paint finish - a natural part of the ageing process - results in a subtle variation in finish between pieces giving each piece its own unique character. The suite has been cleaned and polished, each piece will have the odd signs of wear and use. Dimensions: Height 68 cm Width 50 cm Depth 44 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
