Pair of 70s Italian Riviera Nightstands made in Bamboo, Rattan & Fir Wood
About the Item
I am offering for sale a pair of vintage bedside tables made in Italy which fully represents the Riviera style that dominated Italian holiday beach houses during the 70s.
Both equipped with a drawer and a storage compartment, they have a stable but not heavy structure in fir wood and very thick bamboo canes, which divide the surface into rectangular sections and embellish its perimeter.
Each section is covered with pressed rattan tiles that fit together staggered like in a pazzle, creating a splendid geometric pattern.
The internal wooden structure of the drawers was stained, probably some time after their production, in a walnut color which recalls the dark veins of bamboo.
We subjected the bedside tables to a deep cleaning and applied a water-based protective product to preserve their conservation and patina.
The bedside tables are therefore in original vintage conditions with what this entails: minimal signs of use and age are visible as highlighted in the photo and there is a small stain on one of the shelves.
