Pair of Lacquered Nightstands with Pull Out Writing Tables
About the Item
Distinctive pair of black lacquered three-drawer nightstands or commodes featuring pull-out writing tables. The chests have a bowed front top panel with a decorative ogee edge. Each case has three large storage drawers with bronzed metal ring pulls surmounted by the writing table that extend out to a 9 x 23 inch writing surface. The stands have bronzed toned accent trim with an intentionally aged patina and craquelure finish. Very solid and sturdy crafted from hardwood with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The chests are supported by short, square splayed legs. Sold as a pair. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Maker's plaque in drawer.
