About the Item
Add surface space in your bedroom with this charming “Fausse Paire” of antique nightstands. Crafted in France circa 1880, each piece is topped with a rectangular black marble surface featuring white veining, a refined contrast to the warm wood below. One cabinet features a striking burl walnut façade with rich, symmetrical grain patterns and shaped base apron on carved plinth feet, while the other has a cleaner walnut grain with a slightly simpler profile and bracket feet. Both offer a single upper drawer dressed with a round wooden knob and a lower cupboard for discreet bedside storage.
In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, these late 19th-century nightstands blend well in traditional, transitional, or even rustic settings.
