A Willy Rizzo Chest with Two Doors and Brass Trim
About the Item
Sleek and timeless, this vintage storage chest by Willy Rizzo features lacquered amboyna veneers and refined brass inlay detailing. Designed in the early 1970s, it offers clean lines and a glamorous, polished aesthetic typical of Rizzo’s work. Rizzo began as a fashion photographer and gained insight to the lifestyle of the jet-set socialites of Italy and New York. He later used that insight to design furniture for the people he was photographing. It is perfect as a statement storage piece in a bedroom, hallway, or living area. It's low profile allows for placement in floor to ceiling windows without too much view obstruction. The two drawers open to two shelves and three equal storage spaces. The piece is in very good vintage condition with minor age-appropriate wear. All metal fittings appear to be original.
