19th Century Swedish Blue Painted Pine Baby Cradle
About the Item
This delightful baby cradle was handcrafted by a loving family in the mid 1800's. The original blue painted finish with white flowers has been worn away from years of use; especially areas where it was touched, even the tips of the base where a foot was placed to rock it. The thick natural pine is revealed below, including cracks, old dried wormholes, scratches, gouges etc.
This wood cradle has been restored and waxed. It is solid/structurally sound. Antique cradles such as this are often used as delightful accent pieces in today's home.
All scratches, cracks, scratches, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this pine cradle.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.

This delightful baby cradle was hand-crafted by a loving family in the mid 1800's. Note each of the narrow ends with dates and monograms. The faux wood brown background was the traditional folk art style of the era.
