Antique American Ladder Back Child's Chair with Woven Seat

About the Item

Wooden child's chair attributed to F.A. Sinclair of Mottville, NY. Estimated to be 19th century. Medium brown finish on chair and seat. Features include a ladder-back design, ball finials, and tapered legs. Woven splint seat in herringbone pattern, most likely cane. Good antique condition typical of age & use. Minor fraying to seat & some scuffs on legs and side of seat back. Seat likely to have been rewoven at some point in the past, which may correspond to a refinish or update to finish.

A winged lounge chair with a low-profile design from our Hayworth Collection. Benchmade in Los Angeles, its soft curves pair with a sturdy foundation of outdoor wood in this indoor-outdoor piece created to embrace the spirit of endless summer. Designed with functionality in mind, the upholstered back cushion and removable seat cushion are both made of outdoor dry-fast foam. The base and legs are made of solid Iroko with a frame that includes slats for drainage when used in an outdoor or poolside environment. All our outdoor upholstered pieces come standard with an ivory outdoor textile (not pictured here). They are also available as C.O.M. (Customer’s Own Materials).
