This delightful baby cradle was hand-crafted by a loving family in the mid 1800's. Note each of the narrow ends with dates and monograms. The original painted finish with red/orange panels, white flowers and green leaves is also gently appealing where the paint is worn away from years of use revealing the aged pine. The faux wood brown background was the traditional folk art style of the era. This wood cradle has been restored and waxed. It is solid/structurally sound. A new base/bottom has been added.
