About the Item

Amazing 1979 Compasso D'Oro award winner "Astolfo" children rocking chair. Peppe Di Giuli designed this fantastic piece in Italy in 1979. This wonderful item is made of curved multilayer plywood. This study model was designed to reinterpret the traditional children's toy. The rocking horse in this project does not reproduce the shapes of the horse but replaces them with the finishes (i.e. the accessories worn by the horse when it is ridden): saddle, stirrups and reins. A magnificent and iconic rocking chair that will enrich a child's bedroom and is perfect as a gift for its dimension. The Compasso d'Oro Collection, which will find its permanent exhibition within the ADI Design Museum, consists of the repertoire of products and projects that have been awarded this award over the years and those that have received the honourable mention. This is the oldest and most institutional recognition in the world of design, which aims to highlight the quality of made in Italy products and recognize the value process that design imprints on the world of production and society. transversely.
