American crews completed the first circumnavigation of the globe by plane in 175 days. French actor Michel Simon made his first appearance in Marcel L'Herbier's film "Feu Mathias Pascal."
Classical music is not to be outdone, Maurice Ravel composes Tzigane, and Honegger triumphs with his King David.
