First Edition hardcover with dust jacket. 199pp. "This is the first book to deal exclusively and comprehensively with the subject of the English glass chandelier, from its first use of glass for lighting in the late 17th century and its steady development up to the latter part of the 19th century. The author examines the evolution of chandelier design and technique, hanging, attribution and dating, restoration and structural overhaul and considers the problems associated with acquiring replacements for missing or inappropriate parts."
