DESCRIPTION: LIMITED EDITION SIGNED BY POGANY. 1 vol., 10-15/16" x 9", limited to 250 numbered and signed copies of which this is #214, illustrated with 31 full page color plates by William Pogany, captioned tissue guards, this special edition with one additional plate “The Witches’ Revel”, bound in fine full red morocco, ribbed gilt decorated spine, covers ruled and paneled in gilt, recessed panel to front cover depicting Faust and Margaret embracing in a slightly 2 dimensional multicolor morocco onlays, the onlaid design is by R. I. Salter who has signed the binding on rear turn-in, red silk doublures and endpapers, gilt dentelles, bookplate to front endpaper, all edges gilt, housed in an red cloth open ended slipcase, by Bayntun-Riviere.
