Lost London by Hermoine Hobhouse. New York: Weathervane Books, 1974. First edition hardcover with dust jacket. 250 pp. A chronicle of the lost architecture of London due to fire, enemy action during WWII, or torn down in the name of progress. Included are Wren churches in the city, private palaces in the west end, and the fine Victorian monuments of commerce, Euston Arch, the Coal Exchange and Carlton Mews. The book ends with a section on buildings now imminently threatened.
