DESCRIPTION. INSCRIBED BY CHRISTOPHER ROBIN MILNE. 1 vol., inscribed on the front pictorial endleaf "Love to Anita (Finch) from Christopher Robin Milne, Dartworth, 11th June 1955", illustrated by E. H. Shepard, bound in the publisher's original gilt stamped blue cloth.
CONDITION: Inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spine fine, internally clean and bright, minor offsetting to endpapers, a VERY GOOD copy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Acquired by direct decent. Christopher Robin Milne (1920-96), the only son of author A. A. Milne and the subject of his Winnie-the-Pooh stories, opened 'The Harbour Bookshop' on 25th August 1951 in Dartmouth. The dedicatee of this copy was a family friend of a resident of Dartmouth who obtained the inscription before gifting the book.
