Miguel Ortiz Berrocal (1933–2006) è stato uno dei più originali e visionari scultori del XX secolo. Nato a Villanueva de Algaidas, in Spagna, ha unito nel suo lavoro arte, matematica e meccanica, creando opere modulari e scomponibili che sfidano le convenzioni della scultura tradizionale. Le sue sculture, spesso di piccole dimensioni e sorprendentemente complesse, sono concepite per essere smontate pezzo per pezzo, come fossero enigmi tridimensionali. Berrocal ha esposto nei più importanti musei e gallerie del mondo e le sue opere fanno parte delle collezioni del MoMA di New York, del Centre Pompidou di Parigi e della Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna di Roma. Miguel Berrocal
Miguel Ortiz Berrocal was a renowned Spanish artist, born on September 28, 1933, in Villanueva de Algaidas, Spain, and passed away on May 31, 2006, in Antequera, Spain. He left an indelible mark on the world of contemporary sculpture, especially through his complex and innovative works. Berrocal studied at the School of Fine Arts in Malaga and the School of Fine Arts in Paris, where he was influenced by artists such as Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí.
