About the Item

Natural Elegance Luxurious Mountain Living By: Rush Jenkins and Klaus Baer Photography by William Abranowicz Text by Nancy Greystone Natural Elegance showcases the award-winning interiors of WRJ Design, headquartered in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and led by Rush Jenkins and Klaus Baer. The firm’s homes are set against the back-drop of dramatic Western landscapes from the Rockies to the Pacific. Their interiors are infused with a unique elegance—one versed in the beauty of the wilderness combined with sophisticated contemporary design. Juxtaposing a warm palette with rugged elements, they create homes that have a deep connection to the natural world just outside the windows. Illustrated with photographs by the masterly William Abranowicz, the book features more than a dozen gloriously sited houses decorated in WRJ’s signature rustic yet refined style. Rush Jenkins, formerly Director of Design at Sotheby’s New York, and Klaus Baer, formerly head of international production teams for investment banking firms, relocated to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where they established WRJ Design. William Abranowicz has been a photographer for nearly forty years and his work has appeared in nearly every major publication in the United States, Europe, and Asia. His most recent book is Vendome’s American Originals: Creative Interiors. Nancy Greystone co-authored Barbara Barry’s Around Beauty and Tim Campbell’s Intentional Beauty. Decorating with Carpets A Fine Foundation Book by Heather MacIsaac
Located in New York, NY
Decorating with Carpets A Fine Foundation By: Ashley Stark Kenner and Chad Stark with Heather MacIsaac In decoration, a carpet’s influence is never outsized. In fact, more than any other element of a room, and as the largest and most expensive component of any design scheme, the effect a carpet has on a space is every bit as great as its size. Decorators have long recognized the importance of a fine carpet, its impact on the colors and textures of a space, its contribution to creating an atmosphere, its feel of luxury, and, with the best examples, its lasting value. Despite their essential role as the bedrock of any design scheme, beautiful carpets have lived in the shadows of recognition. Decorating with Carpets: A Fine Foundation aims to change that oversight, tapping the extensive and remarkable archive of Stark Carpet for interior design’s greatest examples. Over the course of its 75 years, Stark Carpet, the premier purveyor of carpets to the trade in the country, has worked with the each era’s most notable designers, from Billy Baldwin and Dorothy Draper to Sister Parish and Albert Hadley to Mark Hampton and Mario Buatta to contemporary leading lights such as Diamond Baratta, Victoria Hagan, Katie Ridder, and Stephen Gambrel...

Embracing Natural Design Inspired Living
By Rizzoli International Publications
Located in New York, NY
Author Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez, Foreword by India Hicks Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez has made her name as a designer of furnishings and interiors in warm climates. Her first book showcases far-flung stylish homes, replete with indoor and outdoor spaces that blend artisanal craftmanship with a fresh naturalistic design approach. Through beautifully photographed residences, which have an exquisite layering of classic and modern furnishings, Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez discusses how to bring sustainable elements into your living space. She employs organic forms, stone and wood pieces, and natural weaves with texture, such as seagrass, caning, bamboo, and rattan. For her urban dwelling she adds tropical greenery and flowers to enliven the interiors, and her eco-friendly family lodge, immersed in the bush wilderness, is surrounded by lush plantings. International designers and artists who have inspired her are also profiled—from sustainable architect Elora Hardy to designers India Hicks, Nate Berkus, and Kenneth Cobonpue. Full of design and entertaining ideas, Embracing Natural Design is for those who are interested in achieving an environmentally conscious lifestyle.
