Vintage Royal Doulton fishing Ceramic. A Royal Doulton Series Ware 'The Gallant Fishers' fishing bowl. The bowl is with a polychrome fishing scene of a fisherman lying on the river bank reading a book. The inscription around the edge reads 'And When The Timrous Trout I Wait To Take And He Devours My Bait'. here is a slight foul to the side of the bowl, but may have been done when made as it is glazed over. The huqqa is finely decorated with depictions of Qajar kings, suggesting that it was created for the Persian market. The huqqa features a bell-shaped base with a ribbed cylindrical top.
