Pre-Columbian Art, New York: Phaidon Publishers, Inc., 1957. First edition hardcover with skip case. 285 pp. A vintage book cataloguing Robert Woods Bliss' collection of Pre-Columbian art. Bliss fell in love with the art and started collecting it while visiting Paris in 1912. His collection is at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. It includes carved and pottery figurines, masks, jewelry, pottery, textiles and much more. The book includes 270 illustrations and a catalogue of the 373 pieces from his vast collection.

Here is an incredibly significant Incan Pre-Columbian terracotta ceremonial vessel with two depictions of INTI, the Incan Sun God on each side of the vessel with incredible details and beautifully preserved.
Finding an Incan vessel with the depiction of Inti is quite rare. These were reserved for important ceremonial functions such as Inti Raymi - the festival in honor of the Sun God.
