Antique Ladies Carved Coral Cherub & 14-Karat Yellow Gold Brooch & Earrings Set
About the Item
This antique demi-parure set is completely unmarked but tests for a minimum of 14-karat yellow gold and is believed to have been made in England in circa 1890 in the period Victorian style. The large brooch features a very well executed hand carved coral reclining cherub surrounded by grapes and leaved vines. The gold surround is done in a six-sided polygon shape with bordering done in a stylized leaf motif. The clip earrings are shaped in a complimentary manner with hand carved coral leaves and female faces. This antique brooch comes with its original leather and velvet lined box. The brooch measures approximately two and a half inches across, and an inch and a half high. The earrings hang approximately two inches and are about one inch across.
