A Rare Archibald Knox for Liberty and Co Silver Buckle A rare silver buckle designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty and Co’s Cymric range. It appears in Dr. Stephen Martin's book, Archibald Knox second edition, page 270. It is probably one of Knox’s most desirable and accomplished buckle designs and shows the influence of Talwin Morris and the Glasgow School. Maker Liberty and Co Designer Archibald Knox Date Birmingham, 1902-03.

This stunning very large oversized piece of jewellery is finely made in silver marked 925 for Stirling quality. It is made in the form of a snake and is beautifully hand set in marcasite from head to tail which glistens brightly against the light.
