Asprey 9kt Gold Swizzle Stick – London, 1935

About the Item

An elegant and collectible telescopic cocktail stirrer crafted in 9 Karat gold, dating to the interwar period. Fully hallmarked for London 1935 and made by the distinguished firm Sampson Mordan & Co., this piece was retailed by Asprey, the iconic London luxury house. The baton-style body features a finely engraved engine-turned pattern, a spherical finial, and an extending fan-style swizzle mechanism activated by a push-button slider. Complete with a suspension loop for attaching to a fob or chain, this piece combines function, design, and period charm. Maker: Sampson Mordan & Co. Retailer: Asprey Hallmarks: London assay, 1935, with maker’s mark “SM&Co” Material: 9ct Yellow Gold Weight: 5 grams Length: Approx. 7.7 cm (closed), extends to approx. 12.5 cm Condition: Excellent vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age.
