Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Hunting Horn Brooch in Gold, England, circa 1905
A fine Edwardian brooch in the form of a coiled hunting horn, centrally adorned with a horseshoe motif — a traditional symbol of good fortune. The horseshoe is set with eight old-cut diamonds and flanked by three claw-set sapphires of deep royal blue hue. The craftsmanship is typical of the early 20th century, with finely detailed settings and elegant proportions.
Rendered in yellow gold with white metal accents to the horn's bell, the brooch fastens with its original pin and C-clasp. A wonderful example of sporting and symbolic jewellery from the Edwardian period.
