An old Bavarian flksy costume pin. A beautiful piece of historical Bavarian folk art jewelry, a real collector's item. A costume pin is a traditional piece of Bavarian jewelry. It is worn by men or women on the bib of traditional lederhosen or on a skirt. The brooch was used as a piece of jewelry or as a talisman for a successful hunt and is a valuable status symbol for the wearer. The brooch has a pendant with a silver-rimmed deer tooth (grandels).
