About the Item

Phenomenal and stunning vintage Hobé crystal necklace and earrings set. Double stranded glass and crystal beads with gold-tone filigree accent. In excellent vintage condition with all original beads. Striking and impossible to miss! This vintage Hobé double strand necklace with its gorgeous egg-shaped glass beads, iridescent champagne colored half-egg glass beads, and aurora borealis glass beads which are accented with faceted amber glass beads and gold-tone filigree, is phenomenal. There are six of the main and largest egg-shaped beads which are in an incredible pearlized color of almost yellow and dotted with deep purple almost black specks. They are set off with flower-like gold-tone cones and all is strung on tiny chain as was the custom with Hobé. The whole effect is nothing short of spectacular. The hive style clip earrings are made up of a matching bead collection. The necklace is signed on both sides of the clasp and the earrings are signed on the clip with the Hobé name. The shortest strand is 12.5 inches and the longest is 14 inches. Its clasped length ranges from 14.5 to 17 inches. You can’t call this set anything but a work of art. Unless, that is, you call it yours. Necklace: Width 1.25 inch, length 14.5 – 17 inches, weight under 1 pound. Earrings: Width 1 inch diameter, depth – 5/8 inch, weight under 1 pound. Art Deco Revival Monumental Brass Etched Glass Hanging Light Fixture Chandelier
Located in Topeka, KS
Magnificent vintage Art Deco Revival monumental hanging light fixture or chandelier comprised of six glass “wing” panels with etched details, brass ferrule, shaft, brackets, and a new brass canopy. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, there is a small chip on the top edge of one glass “wing” panel that you cannot see from below. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. “Until you spread your wings, you’ll have no idea how far you can fly.” -Napoleon Bonaparte. This is a marvelous Art Deco Revival monumental hanging light fixture comprised of a unique brass shaft consisting of a cylindrical top and base with three square brass rods between. Each cylindrical end of the shaft has an inner socket that holds a slender tube style bulb which is encased by the square brass rods. Each outer end of the shaft has a round component with six brass brackets surrounding the outer cylinder which hold the “wing” shaped glass panels featuring lovely etched designs. Could be angel wings, butterfly wings, or even fairy wings… that’s up to your imagination!! Either way… It is INCREDIBLE!!! A beautiful brass rod extends up from the “trumpet” shaped ferrule and is attached to the chain, held by a fabulous brass canopy. It is PHENOMENAL to say the least!!! And it’s hardwired so you can use dimming or flickering lightbulbs and add some wonderful ambiance to whatever room you choose to install. And did we mention… it’s HUGE!! It would make a BOLD statement in a high entry way, stairwell, above an over-scaled island in your kitchen, or over a long dining table in a formal dining area. It would also be beautiful in a bedroom or living room. What are you waiting for? Don’t hesitate, time to spread those wings… you can do it...
