1909 International Automobile Show Quilt

About

I have collected Classic cars and antique transportation memorabilia all my life. This early open car lap quilt is a first for me. Items of this quality and condition just don't show up anymore. I have never seen an item commemorating one of the earliest international auto shows. The quilt is hand-stitched and reads. Automobile carnival, 1909 Automobile Trade Association. The original tapestry is made using flags from all-over the world. This is from the very beginnings of the auto industry and an important part of its history. Its worthy enough to be a museum display. It can be framed or casually thrown over the seat of your Stanley Touring car.
