About the Item
An important Italian-made Berkel prosciutto slicer model 330M. The slicer has two parts: the pedestal with 4 castors and the machine itself.
The iconic flywheel mechanism helps the user get a perfect portion cut of his or her favorite meat. The 13-inch blade has an integrated sharpener. The machine has its original sticker.
Berkel is a Dutch brand founded in 1898 in Rotterdam by Wilhemus van Berkel, who created a slicer that could get a perfect cut with no effort with the help of an iconic "red wheel" mechanism. As soon as he got his patent, he began establishing factories around Europe. The italian factory was first founded in 1924, but WWII stopped its accelerated growth. After the war ended, Berkel was part of the Italian economical miracle of the 1950's.
