Circa 1900 or Earlier French Oak Syrah Wine Barrel

About the Item

Circa 1900 or earlier oak Syrah wine barrel, French. Top carved "639, ARLDA", the tap holes closed. Staved with heavy iron straps. Painted with grapes & "Syrah Cote de Provence, Provence". The decorative paint is very old but added when the barrel was removed from the winery. 42" h., 16" dia.
