About the Item
A counter display vendor machine for candy by Columbus.
This is an antique candy vending machine. The Columbus Model A gumball machine is an early and rare variant. The vending machine was crafted in Columbus United States by the Columbus Vending Company, back in 1935. Designed with industrial machine age patterns during the late art deco period with parts made up in solid cast iron, clear glass, aluminum and chromed steel. It is all original including the beautiful red and black decal. The iconic glass globe is in perfect shape with no chips or cracks. Fully restored to original specifications. Embossed globe, 1-cent coin operated and fully functioning with key. It was polished and cleaned time ago and now has a great original look to it. Works great on a penny. Display gorgeous and should be a great conversation piece.
