Antique Early 19th C. American Maple And Pine Corner Cabinet
Located in New Orleans, LA
Antique early 19th century American pine and maple Corner Cupboard, c 1810. Made of pine and maple, featuring triangular form with stunning original glazed wavy glass doors, three drawers and wood doors below This cupboard has pale pink old milk painted interior shelves. The glass features waves and bubbles consistent with age and was completely hand made with wooden pegs. Ever wonder how large, tall pieces of furniture were moved in and out of the small doorways in 18th-19th century homes? Beginning about 1740, corner cupboards were very popular storage pieces.
