Exceptional model of the iron clipper Commonwealth. The ship was built by Russel and Co., Greenock, 1876, owner C.H. Stewart of London. Employed in the Australian and Indian trade. The model is highly detailed with figurehead, capstan, link chain, cabins, lifeboats, anchor, ladders, balls, railings, etc. The rigging is complete and unabbreviated. Fitted to a glass case
