The Fuji Meibo 15×80 binoculars are purpose-built for marine navigation, fishing, and scientific or government observation. A vintage professional-use optical instrument manufactured in Japan by Fuji Photo Optical Co., Ltd. (later known globally under the “Fujinon” name), these big eye binoculars combine a massive 80 mm objective lens, 15× magnification, and rock-solid construction for reliable performance in the harshest environments. Professionally restored by Loomlight and paired with a hardwood and bronze A.H.Hall and Bros. British vintage tripod. Ideal for collectors, maritime professionals, or anyone seeking a vintage optical masterpiece. Key Features High Magnification and Brightness - 15× magnification with an 80 mm effective objective diameter. Large 5.37 mm exit pupil for bright, clear viewing in low light. Wide Field and Fine Resolution. 4° true field of view (≈ 2–3 in real angle) Resolution down to 2.8 arc-seconds. Synthetic-resin housing seal maintains airtightness under shock Temperature-stable lens bonding—from –40 °C up to +60 °C Vibration tested to ±2 mm at 250 cycles/minute for 5 minutes Anti-Reflection & and Filter Ready - Interior barrels finished in a thin amber coating to minimize stray reflections. Easy-attach polarizing filters for glare reduction over water. Built-in silica gel desiccant, dust seals, polarizing filter, unused Fuji cleaning cloth wooden box with matching serial number are all present and correct. Historical & Collectible Notes Serial No. 1955 (as-found on nameplate) Original 1970s–80s warranty card, owner’s registration card, and pre-addressed return postcard included. Zeiss German Jumelles WW2 12 x 60 Binoculars . These Zeiss Binoculars were primarily used by Luftwaffe Flak Artillery ground crews for spotting and identifying enemy aircraft and directing the crew served Rangefinders, Searchlights and Flak Cannons of the Anti-Aircraft batteries based around many German and occupied ports, cities and industrial centres. Due to their superb optics they naturally also proved useful on the battlefield for tactical observation and from the outset of 1939 were used in many theatres of war by the German Army. Presented here are a very high quality set of binoculars, manufactured by Zeiss bearing the marker of 'Jumelles 12 x 60' , indicating that they would have been made between 1942 and 1944 in occupied France. This set are unpolished in original dark grey with red stripe and are fitted to a polished cradle. They are fitted with adjustable and variable light shades (marked farbglasser) for use in all daytime and darker light conditions and have the later war style rain shield...
